Death.

Death. It's inevitable. We all have to go through it one way or another. Some might be fortunate to live a long life and die from natural causes. Others might not be so lucky and have an illness, get murdered, or die in a car accident. Then, there are those who decide to take it into their own hand and end their lives themselves. Anyway you look at it, it happens to all of us. So why is it so hard to accept?

Is it because we don't truly know what happens to us afterwards. Sure, there are those who have their beliefs, but is that just what we tell ourselves to make us feel more comfortable about it. Is it because we are scared of the pain of leaving people behind. And those of us who have lost people, why is it hard to move on from? Is the only reason why we grief because we know that we will never see that person again? We miss them and know that we can never hear their voice, smell them, or feel their touch again? But, we know it is going to happen someday. Is it because it all of a sudden and we didn't have prep time? If you do have prep time, why is it still so hard to grasp that they are gone. It is inevitable. The whole reason we live is because we know we will die. It is what it is.

  1. Great questions. I often wonder and worry, too. It's complicated, messy, scary, inevitable, and no thank you, Mam!
